Senior Retail Manager

        Ledyard National Bank is seeking an experienced and outgoing individual to join our Retail team. This individual will be responsible for the management of the retail branch network, which includes achieving the financial objectives, providing superior client service, maintaining operational compliance and integrity, hiring, training, and developing the staff.

       The Senior Retail Manager will serve as a member of the Bank’s Strategic and Technology team and will participate in developing overall strategy, objectives, and goals for banking. This individual will work with all lines of business to determine, assess, and review all of the Bank’s existing and proposed deposit and electronic products and services for consumers to ensure competitiveness and profitability by making recommendations for change and implementing as necessary. The Senior Retail Manager will work in tandem with Ledyard Financial Advisors, Brokerage, and the Loan Department to generate and retain business through referrals.

       The Senior Retail Manager will proactively work to develop training programs with the Training Manager both for direct reports and their subordinates. Is responsible for setting, measuring and attaining superior client service standards. Prioritizes, organizes, and monitors workflow production, meeting all established deadlines. Works with the Facilities Manager to address the oversight and care of the physical facilities that house the banking offices, including reporting of maintenance and safety concerns. The individual will set and demonstrate high standards of performance for self and others and will participate in community organizations and events to enhance the Bank’s image and awareness within the community.

       Candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or similar program. Five to seven years’ experience working in retail banking, in progressively increasing leadership roles. Candidates must have five years of supervisory experience.

Commercial Relationship Manager

               Ledyard National Bank is seeking an experienced individual to join our Commercial Lending team. The Commercial Relationship Manager will develop and manage commercial business relationships by providing comprehensive products and services to the client relationship.

       The Commercial Relationship Manager will support the banks strong relationship culture by continually bringing appropriate financial solutions to the client. Will develop new business by establishing a focused calling plan for customers, prospects, and centers of influence, and will establish, and negotiate terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment, and collateral requirements.

        This individual collect and analyze information that reflects the current credit worthiness of customers and the current merits of existing loans. May obtain information through direct inspection of the applicant's business and/or collateral, review of interim financial reports, personal interview, and other means. Will also gather the subjective and objective information necessary to prepare and present loan requests to loan committee.

       The Commercial Relationship Manager works with bank partners, proactively identifying business and personal financial solutions to enhance the relationship with the business, its owner(s), officers, and employees. Takes a leadership role representing the bank in key business and community activities. Participates in community affairs to increase the bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.

       Candidates will have a minimum of three – five years in related commercial lending activities. The Commercial Relationship Manager will have strong sales, sales planning, managerial, client served, communication, and interpersonal skills. This individual will have thorough understanding of client service concepts and the importance of developing and expanding client relationships.


        Ledyard National Bank is seeking an experienced and outgoing individual to join our Retail team. The Banker’s primary responsibility is to provide excellent service to our clients by meeting and uncovering their financial needs, helping with problem resolution and processing transactions. Bankers drive sales by creating an outstanding client experience by opening new accounts, offering convenient services, and resolving client service issues. Universal Personal Bankers provide our clients with outstanding service by fully understanding their needs and identifying the right products and solutions to achieve their financial goals. These services include assisting existing clients in completing transactions, obtaining new services, and providing services to new clients. In addition, the position requires referrals of potential clients to other businesses within the Bank. A high level of professionalism in all client interactions is essential.          

       The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, sales and service experience with a focus on upselling products and services in a goal driven environment. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong listening skills, and ability to resolve client issues by providing solutions. The candidate will have the ability to build strong relationships with teammates and business partners through collaboration, an ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, both to clients and other employees of the organization, be self-motivated, assertive, and able to multitask effectively.          

Full-Time and Part-Time Tellers

       The primary responsibility of this position is to provide excellent service to our clients. These services include, but are not limited to: assisting existing clients in completing transactions or obtaining new services and providing services to new clients. In addition, the position provides referrals of new and existing clients to lines of business within the Bank and provides a high level of professionalism in all client interactions. 

       Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  The ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages using basic math skills is essential.  Attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
